This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33551136393 (33 55 1 136 393) and is described as Genuine BMW Swing Support Bracket, which is the rear sway bar end link attachment bracket as used on all 1992-1999 E36 series and E36 M3 models. These models span model years 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 on the coupe, sedan and convertible body styles.
This end link mount bracket is used on the rear of the third generation BMW 3 series, E36 chassis. There is one at both ends of the rear sway bar, and these are known to rot and break with age, mileage, and heavy use. It's a clevis shaped metal bracket with a threaded stud to attach itself to the body/chassis.
Sold individually. Be sure to order two if you are replacing both or refreshing your rear sway bar link mounting hardware on your E36 BMW.
