Front Right EDC Strut, OEM - F01/F02 740iX/750iX, Alpina B7 (xDrive)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 37116851128 (37 11 6 851 128) and is described as Front Right Strut (aka spring strut or shock) for 2013-2014 F01/F02 740iX750iX/750LiX and Alpina B7 with xDrive and EDC adjustable shocks. This front strut fits models with xDrive (AWD) only. This is the complete strut assembly with the EDC motor. Spring, mount, and hardware are sold separately.

A failed shock absorber can no longer control the motions of the suspension and can be very dangerous. Suspension movement, alignment, and body motions go un-dampened which will make the handling unpredictable. These problems are compounded by the heavier weight of a 7-series. It's crucial to replace a shock absorber at the first sign of wear or malfunction. Shocks should be replaced in axle pairs (Left and Right together).

A new EDC strut must be coded to the car at a dealer or shop to update to the latest version and match the other side.

This is an OEM F02 EDC shock manufactured by Sachs - the original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other suspension components. As the OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
