Replacing the power steering pump in E30 325i can also involve other “while you're in there” work like replacing the pump hoses. This kit covers the pump and attached hoses, and includes new crush washers for each point. Fitment applies to 1988-1992 E30 325i.
Kit includes:
1 x power steering pump (Meyle)
1 x v-belt (Continental 10x865)
1 x “intake manifold” hose with fitting (Cohline)
1 x hose clamp for above
2 x crush rings for above
1 x pressure hose from pump to rack (Rein)
4 x crush rings for above
Chances are good that one or both of these hoses are leaking or swelled already. If you're lucky you can get away with just replacing a crush washer or hose clamp. But if your pump and hoses are suspect this is a neatly packaged overhaul from OEM sources with minimal work.
Return Pipe and Fluid Reservoir sold separately. We would also recommend replacing the fluid reservoir and the third hose (return hose) for a more thorough overhaul. See below for BimmerWorld recommended related items.
Fluid Note: this pump can use either ATF or CHF but you must match the existing fluid in the system! Do not mix ATF (red color) and CHF (green). This is why fluid is not included with our kit.
