This hose supplies the power steering pump with fluid from the reservoir. BMW calls it an "intake manifold" or "suction pipe". The hose can also swell over time, causing a leak, and the hose must be replaced. A crimped hose clamp was originally used but this can expand and cause an PS fluid leak as well. We suggest using traditional worm clamps with the new hose. Crush washers for the Banjo bolt are sold separately, see Related Items below.
