Brand-new E46 steering rack with a steering ratio similar to the Z3 (a very common upgrade for E30 steering racks).

Fluid note: new racks are designed with seals compatible with Pentosin CHF11S or EHF. ATF or similar "Power Steering Fluid" should not be used. Mixing CHF and ATF is not recommended and may lead to premature failure of the seals, pump, or rack and void the warranty. A complete flush of the entire steering system is recommended. We strongly urge you to add the CHF label to the cap on your reservoir (BMW part #71212122171).
This is a new, not rebuilt, steering rack so no core charge applies.
Fitment note: AAE has determined that the E46 rack is functionally identical and now supplies the E46 rack for E36 and Z3 applications. E30-specific racks have been discontinued from all of our sources for a long time. You will receive an E46 rack. We measured this rack on our E46 race cars and lock-to-lock turns are around 2.8 to 2.85. We don't have all of the information on how to fit this onto an E30 - we're only supplying the rack. You may need different hoses, tie rods, or a combination of pieces to get the best result.
