You can tune your car's handling by mixing front and rear sway bars. While a matching set of front and rear bars from the same manufacturer will give you optimal handling balance, you may find the need to tweak your car's handling by using bars from different manufacturers. For instance, it's common to upgrade the front sway bar and keep the stock rear bar for street use. The larger bar will improve turn-in and steering feel at lower speeds. You give up some performance and handling at higher speeds and the balance of the car will push the car into understeer sooner. But the front-only option remains popular on street-driven cars that rarely see the handling limit.

This is the front Eibach sway bar for the E36 318i, 323is, 325i, and 328i. It's a 28mm bar with adjustable ends. This allows you to further fine-tune the handling to better match your other suspension settings or wheel/tire setup. Set your sway bar link to the inner hole for a stiffer setting; the outer hole for a softer rate.
