These bushings were originally designed for the stock E60 M5 26.5mm front sway bar but can be used on any RWD E60 or E63 with the 26.5mm, 28mm, or 29mm front sway bar (M5 bushing bracket required). These are Powerflex's Black Series urethane antiroll bar bushings that considerably reduce sway bar deflection, giving better antiroll performance and sharper steering.
These steel plates fit between the bushing bracket and the front subframe. The original factory bushing mount is aluminum and can bend and lead to a failure of the entire mount. These add extra stiffening to a known weak point on the subframe and work to prevent front sway bar bracket failure. Powerflex tests showed stress was reduced by over 20% with just these plates. The reinforcement plates are also available on their own.

Powerflex copper-based grease is supplied with every bushing set, and they will rarely need re-lubing due to the unique design features built into the material to hold the lubricant.
