Rear shocks on the F10 528i/535i/550i are mounted to the chassis with this rear upper mount. It's a dense rubber bushing that allows the shock to tilt and deflect as the suspension moves. Over time the rubber breaks down and the entire mount should be replaced.
This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33506775735 (33-50-6-775-735) and is described as Genuine BMW Rear Shock Mount (RSM) for F10 528i, 528ix, 535i, 535ix, 550i, 550is (2011, 2012, 2013).
Not for cars with electronic suspension (Adaptive Drive, Dynamic Drive, EDC).
This mount is not for any of the factory electronic suspensions (EDC, Dynamic, Adaptive, etc). It's rare in the US to not have these options. See BMW part #33506776140 for the electronic suspension mount.
