BMW Jack Pad - Z3 Roadster, Z3 Coupe

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 51718407559 (51 71 8 407 559) and is described as the jack pad (aka Support Lifting Platform) for Z3 Roadster and Coupe models. It's a hard plastic panel which sits on the underside of the rocker panel and provides the best place to position jack stands, a floor jack, or lift arms. By using the jack pad you can be sure the floor and undercarriage won't get scratched or damaged, exposing the bare metal and risking rust and corrosion. Your car originally came with 4 jack pads but they often fall out or get damaged.

BMW lists two different jack pads for the Z3 (51718407559 and 51718398169). This is the later style and is used with two mounting screws and plastic anchors (sold separately). The early style simply clips into the rocker panel. We don't know if they are interchangeable.

These can take a beating and get cracked or scuffed up so we recommend using a urethane jack pad adapter. See Related Items below.
