The 10.5 ET22 works best as a rear fitment on M2/M3/M4. The 10.5 width is aggressive and should only be used along with camber adjustment and appropriate tire sizes to ensure clearance.
The APEX FL-5 wheel combines new wheel technology with classic motorsport design. The FL-5 is Apex's first wheel produced with Dual Flow Forming manufacturing that produces a stronger inner and outer barrel. It's also Apex's first wheel with an outside front lip. Other details are a beefier and stronger outer rim and additional machining of the spokes in a stylish "I-beam" shape. The result is a wheel that is stronger than its predecessors without added weight.
The APEX FL-5 wheel achieves its combination of strength, light weight, and affordability through flow-forming technology. By flow-forming the wheel, weight is reduced in the barrel through a process sometimes referred to as "rotary forging." Rotary forging, while not the same as the traditional forging, is superior to regular casting. The rolling process occurs under extreme pressure, yielding a barrel that is stronger than a standard cast wheel, with certain material properties that are similar to a standard forged wheel. This added barrel strength allows for a reduction in overall wheel weight, while not sacrificing any of the strength you'd expect from durable flow-formed wheels.
Thanks to its lightweight barrel and robust face design, the FL-5 stands up well against the rigors of endurance racing, as well as your average street potholes.
