VANOS Seals Repair Kit, Beisan - E39 M5, Z8, S62 (1999+)

This set of o-rings and seals will restore proper Vanos operation on 1999+ S62 engines used in E39 M5 and E52 Z8 Roadster. The original seals are known to flatten, shrink, or degrade which reduces system pressure and Vanos operation. There are a lot of components with a lot of seals on the S62 Vanos and this is a complete kit that covers them all*.

*We strongly suggest purchasing a top-end gasket kit that will include all of the other gaskets and seals needed when opening up the cylinder heads of the engine. See Related Items below.

Rebuilding the S62 Vanos requires removing the Vanos unit from each bank on the V8, then disassembling the units on a workbench. There are a lot of seals to replace. Experienced mechanical aptitude or professional installation is recommended.

With the Vanos disassembled, this is also the only time to replace the rings that cause Vanos rattles. The Beisan anti-rattle rings are produced with a tighter size tolerance to reduce play and gaps and eliminate Vanos rattle.
