Valve Cover Gasket, Bank 1, Elring - E39 M5, E52 Z8

This is the OEM Bank 1 valve cover gasket set for E39 M5 and E52 Z8 models with the S62 V8 engine. These gaskets are for cylinders 1-4, on the passenger side of the engine, and seals the outer cover profile and inner spark plug recesses. You may also want to replace the outer grommet seals (sold separately, see below).

The valve cover is sealed to the cylinder head with these gaskets and they prevent oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. Oil leaks make the engine bay messy, rob the internals of precious lubrication, and could do damage to external sensors or hardware in the engine bay. Leaks can also affect the internal pressure and vacuum of the valve cover.
