Secondary Air Pump, BMW - Z3 2.8, MZ3 S52

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11721432907 (11 72 1 432 907) and is described as Secondary Air Pump for the 1997-1998 Z3 2.8 liter Roadster and 1998, 1999 and 2000 Z3 M Roadster / Z3 M Coupe (S52 engine). 

Not for Z3 2.8 after 1998 or Z3 M Roadster / M Coupe after 2000. This SAI pump is specifically for the 1997 and 1998 model Z3 2.8 liter, as well as the Z3 M Roadster (3.2 liter) through 1999 and 2000. 

This is an authentic Genuine BMW part. Previously we were able to get the OE Pierburg (part # 7.21852.77.0 ) which has since been discontinued from production by Pierburg. This MAY indicate that the Genuine parts will become more scarce, and likely future price increases on this already expensive (but hard to find) air pump. At the time of posting, there were not many of these left in the world, so we suggest ordering while they are still available new. 

Fortunately, the appreciation for the Z3 M Roadster and Coupe have elevated vehicle values, which helps justify the added costs for Genuine BMW parts for repairs like this. If another brand becomes available again, we will of course offer it as an alternative.
