This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11657649291 (11-65-7-649-291) and is described as Genuine BMW / Mitsubishi Turbocharger, Rear Bank, for N54 powered E82 135i (2008-2010), 1M Coupe (2011), E60/E61 535i & 535xi and E89 Z4 35i and 35is.
This is a new, factory Mitsubishi turbo (not rebuilt) and does not require a core or core charge!
If you are replacing a failed or failing rear turbo on your N54 powered E82 or E89, this is the simplest and most cost effective replacement possible. Mitsubishi is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for BMW, and you can be assured this is the latest design improvements from both BMW and the Mitsubishi factory.
This turbo is only for the N54 twin-turbo models, and is not for the later "twin scroll" motor found on some BMWs.

Are you reusing your original oil supply/return lines?
In some cases, the turbocharger oil lines can be reused. Careful inspection is highly recommended. Aging oil lines are a common source of leaks. The oil supply and return lines can also become kinked during the turbocharger removal process. If you suspect that your lines have been bent or damaged, it is wise to replace them preventively. Another reason to replace the N54 oil lines is that the lines can become plugged and restricted by burnt oil residue, causing the turbochargers to overheat and fail.
